Six Apart News Roundup

John T. Unger March 22, 2006

It's been quite a job trying to keep up with all the news coming from Six Apart this last week or so. I'm still digesting some of it, as well as writing some longer posts that I hope you will find to be worth the wait. While I get those ready to post, here's an overview of what's been going on lately:

Niall Kennedy posts some background on an article reporting that Six Apart is partnering with blog hosting company Bokee to localize and distribute Movable Type in China.

The Blog Herald reports that Six Apart has acquired SplashBlog a hosted photoblogging service.

BusinessWeek Interviews co-founder Mena Trott on the Future of the Blog.

An Enterprise edition of Movable Type has launched in Japan and is also in limited beta testing with corporate customers in the states. Read more in Publish or TechCrunch.

Six Apart launches TypePad Business Class services. A new section of the company's website: Blogging Solutions for Business offers advice on which Six Apart solutions are best suited to your company's blogging needs. I'll have more to say about this in depth soon.

Thanks to Appnel Internet Solutions for a heads up on several of these items.
