I've been a bit remiss in posting new template hacks lately, but I've got three great ones that I'll be posting soon.
First up will be a top level menu, which I put together this morning… It was all ready to go when I discovered some really sweet CSS code that makes it even better. So I'm gonna get that all styled up before I post it.
Next is something I've wanted for a very long time: a template that lets you create a "sticky" post that displays at the top of each page on a permanent basis. This will be a useful way to provide a quick intro to new readers, or keep an idea front and center on your blog. Most of my new readers come in on an archive page, so I figure it will be handy to be able to put a couple explanatory sentences at the top of archive pages while keeping it distinct from the header.
Finally, a template hack for automatically styling author's comments. I've been putting this one off until I have time to play with adding an author photo to the comment.
Hopefully I'll have the menu hack up by late this evening. I'm going off now to play with the CSS and wrangle it into submission.
